PENDERGAST Anne E. 82, of Wells, formerly of Natick, MA, died peacefully on Wednesday morning, July 15, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in West Newton, Massachusetts on August 14, 1932, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Clark) Reilly of West Newton, MA. Anne was educated at St. Bernard schools in West Newton. On May 15, 1954 she married James E. Pendergast at St. Bernard Parish in West Newton, recently celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. In addition to being a homemaker, Anne was employed as a clerk typist for several years. Anne and Jim traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada, visiting many relatives on the West Coast. Anne was predeceased by a son, James E. Pendergast, Jr.; a brother, John Reilly; a sister, Elizabeth Stefanko. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James Pendergast of Wells; two sons, Stephen M. Pendergast and wife Lisa of Wells, Kevin J. Pendergast and wife Heather of Needham, MA; a brother, Edward Reilly of Dartmouth, MA; two sisters, Claire Chagnon of West Newton, and Phyllis King of West Newton; two grandsons, Riley Pendergast and Gerald Pendergast; granddaughter Lily Pendergast. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Road, WELLS. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Spirit Parish/St. Mary’s Church, 236 Eldridge Road, Wells.
