TOMPKINS Arnold Aubrey, 84, of Hopkinton, died on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Eliot Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Natick. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lorene (Anderson) Tompkins; two sons, Dan Tompkins and his wife Kim of West Virginia, Scott Tompkins and his wife Tara of Hopkinton; three sisters, Irene Helf of Illinois, Carol Gardner and her husband Edward of California, Lois Stevens of Maine; one brother, Vaughn Tompkins and his wife Margaret of Tewksbury; two grandchildren, Talia and Jesse Tompkins; several nieces and nephews. Arnold was born on October 31, 1930 in Medford, a son of Vaughn and Violet (Simmons) Tompkins. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Tompkins worked as an automotive technician for most of his life. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, at 11:00 a.m. in the Duckett Funeral Home of J. S. Waterman & Sons, 656 Boston Post Road, SUDBURY. A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 10:0011:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A reception will follow and burial with military honors will be held at the Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody on Saturday afternoon.
