SENOPOULOS Ashelen, P. - of Jamaica Plain, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2015, at age 98. He was the loving husband of the late Anne (Demeter) Senopoulos and the caring father of Carol Forbes and her husband Harold of Arlington and Peter A. Senopoulos and his wife Jane of Jamaica Plain and adoring Papou (grandfather) of Peter 3rd, Ben and Bianca. He is survived by his sister, Louise Damascus, and was the brother of the late Tillie Koules, William P. Senopoulos and Mary Patsiades. His parents were the late Peter A. and Coula (Kayias) Senopoulos. A graduate of Suffolk Law School and a member of the Massachusetts Bar for over 70 years, he was a former Assistant City Solicitor, City of Somerville and retired Assistant Corporation Counsel, City of Boston, where he practiced for nearly 30 years during the administrations of Mayors Hynes, Collins and White. He was a seasoned trial attorney who also argued cases at the appellate levels. He was past President of the Boston (Athens) Chapter of the Order of AHEPA. “Ash” was a loyal Red Sox fan and enjoyed summers in West Dennis on Cape Cod with his many relatives and friends. All those who knew him enjoyed his kind personality and keen mind right up until his final day. Funeral Services will be held at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England, Ruggles St. (corner of Parker St. at Wentworth Institute) Thursday, March 5, at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours at the Mann & Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins Street (corner of So. Huntington Ave) JAMAICA PLAIN, Wednesday, March 4, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Interment at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
