EMPEY Carol A., 71, of East Street, Wrentham and Fort Myers, FL, passed peacefully on April 29, 2014 in the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center, Franklin. She was the former wife of Winston Empey. Born in Boston on September 6, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy (McPherson) Burke. Carol was educated in Boston Schools. She worked for the Boston Red Sox in concessions at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, Florida, and as a waitress for many years in the Wrentham area. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carol is survived by her children; Robert Empey of Wrentham, Kevin Empey of Randolph, and Michael Empey of Millis, a brother; Robert Burke of Dedham, a sister; Patricia Beatrice of Raynham, five grandchildren; Rachel, Michelle, Mikey, Scott, and Sean Empey, two great grandchildren; Anthony and Mia Empey, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 4-8 PM in the R.J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, RT 1A, WRENTHAM CENTRE. Her funeral will be on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 9 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 130 South Street, Wrentham. Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
