WASHINGTON Carole Louise Hyatt Washington was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts on April 24, 1933, the middle of three daughters to William Edward Hyatt and Viola Louise Evans Hyatt. She passed on Friday, September 5, 2014 in Bellevue, Nebraska and is the widow of Henry Washington, Boston native and artist who was a Sargent in the United States Air Force and mechanic for the Tuskegee Airmen. Following the passing of her mother, Carole was six, Olga eight and Diana nine months, they were raised by their Dad Billy, their paternal grandparents George and Helen Hyatt and paternal Aunt Gertrude (Aunt Gertie) Hyatt White. Carole was an active member of Fourth Methodist Church and tithed her weekly allowance during her teen years. Carole attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from the Massachusetts Memorial Hospitals School of Nursing as did her two sisters Olga and Diana and two cousins Patricia and Merrill. Carole enjoyed being a nurse and was an outstanding Surgical Supervisor at Mass. Memorial and a Nursing Administrator at Dimock Community Health Center Complex. Carole obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from U Mass/Boston and was a teacher in the Boston public schools for 20 years. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Olga (Rev. Dr. Robert) Habersham, their children Mabel (Aubrey) Flowers, Sir Robert Habersham, IV (Monica), her sister Diana Jones and her children Michael (Linda) Jones, David (Sunila) Jones, grand nieces and nephews Jarreau, Marselle, Jayden, Miles, Sydney, Devin, Sian and Nia. A host of cousins and friends, in Connecticut, Nevada, New York and the New England area. Helen (Cecil) Young, Barbara, Valerie, Cece and Chip Gumes and Family, Melissa and Family. Ormon, Patricia, Leigh (Ormon), Merit and Mikk Beckles. Gilbert and Thim Hyatt and Family. Donna (Micki), Robert (Bob) and Christopher Grier. Ralph Ciampa, Jean (Susie) and Richard (Tony) White.
