MYRON Carole. Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Myron, Jr. Devoted mother, long-time employee of the Wrentham State School and a 46-year resident of Foxborough, MA died Monday April 15, at her apartment at The Falls at Cordingly Dam in Newton Lower Falls. She was 78 years old. Mrs. Myron was born October 19, 1934 in Adams, MA, the daughter of James F. Clarke Sr., and Victoria Szetela Clarke and was raised at the foot of historic Mount Greylock. She was a dedicated and diligent student attending Adams High School where she was known to “work a little, play a little and laugh a lot,” graduating in 1952. Following her graduation she worked as an administrative assistant at Sprague Electric in North Adams, MA. She moved to Boston where she lived on Newbury Street while working at the National Research Company. While employed there she met her future husband, Thomas J. Myron, Jr. The two wed in Adams, MA on June 21, 1958. After living in northern New York, she and Mr. Myron settled in Foxborough in 1965. In the early 1970’s Mrs. Myron worked as an administrative assistant at the accounting firm of Miller and Glick in Foxborough Center. She then joined Children’s Hospital’s Wrentham campus as a medical office administrator, where she stayed on for sixteen years and developed life-long friendships with her colleagues. Mrs. Myron was attracted to the arts; writing poetry, sketching, shooting photography and playing the banjo. She was also known as the Myron family grammarian. An active card player, she would play a game of Bridge or Cribbage at the drop of a hat and win most every time. In the Palmer Road neighborhood of Foxborough she enjoyed a reputation of being many of the local children’s “other mother.” Her patented loud whistle sounded nearly daily just after 5:00 P.M., letting her children and those in the neighborhood know that it was time to come in and get ready for supper. She was a devoted wife of 53-years to Thomas J. Myron Jr., and a dedicated mother of four children; Thomas J. Myron, III, of Northampton, MA, married to Jessica Nicoll, Ann V. Myron-Smith of Rancho Sante Fe, CA, married to Dr. Joseph M. Smith, Kevin C. Myron of Brookline, MA and Mary Kay Myron and her companion Mark Raymond of Mansfield, MA. She also leaves five grandchildren; Meaghan K. McCarthy, Shane T. McCarthy, Jonathan T. Smith, Andrew J. Smith and Vivian V. Myron. She is survived by three siblings; Eileen Keighley, James F. Clarke, Jr., and J. Michael Clarke. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Ann M. Ouellette.
