DUNPHY Carolyn (Irving), lifelong resident of South Boston, passed away peacefully in her home on February 20, 2016. Beloved wife and best friend of Brian Dunphy. Loving mother of Kaitlyn S. Irving, stepmother of Brian and Kaylee Dunphy. Cherished daughter of Anna Collins Irving and the late Edward V. Irving. Dear sister of Kathleen Rakowski of CT, Diana Collins of NY, Anna Balliro of South Boston and Timothy Collins of NY. Loving Aunt of Matthew, Kevin, Dillon Rakowski and the late Angela Balliro. Great Aunt of Haley and Lauren Balliro. Beloved niece of Joan and Sonny Plunkett of Cape Cod. Loving Cousin of David Plunkett. Carolyn is also survived by many loving relatives and friends. She leaves behind her two cats Rascal and Mr. Noodles. Carolyn will be remembered for her insane sense of humor and her wonderfully big heart. Visiting hours in The O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON, Sunday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass in Gate of Heaven Church, 615 East Fourth St. South Boston, Monday at 10:00 AM. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery Dorchester. Relatives and friends are invited to attend all services.
