NUTT Charlie Nutt, of Goose Creek, South Carolina formerly of Somerville, died July 25th, 2013, after a lengthy illness. He leaves his wife of 42 years, Marie (Alfeiri) of Somerville, his children, Charles Nutt, Jr. and his wife Michelle, of Lowell, MA and Michelle Volpe, and her husband, David, of Goose Creek, SC and his grandchildren, Alexis Nutt, Haley Nutt, and Jason Volpe. Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1971-1977, stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He was one of nine children born of the late Harold and Sarah Nutt, of Somerville, predeceased by brothers Andrew Nutt and Joseph Nutt. He is survived by brothers Harold Nutt and Robert Nutt, and sisters Mary Hayes, Sally Bontempo, Judy Ippolito and Susan Nutt-Lopez and many nieces and nephews. Interment is at Beaufort (SC) National Cemetery on August 28, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers any donations can be made to: www.charleston.va.gov/giving. Please make sure to put in memory of Charles D. Nutt.
