HASTINGS Dana Munroe, 81, of Westwood, went to be with the Lord October 4, 2012. He was born in Framingham on May 28, 1931. The loving husband of the late Muriel Alice Grant from 1956 to 1986 and Barbara J. Arnold from 1989 to the present, he was a longtime resident of Dover and a lifelong summer resident of West Falmouth. He and Barbara later retired to Westwood. Dana graduated from Harvard University cum laude in 1953 and Harvard Business School in 1955. After two years in the Army, Dana was employed as an Investment Manager at Eaton and Howard in Boston until 1965 and then as Vice President for Administration of MFS until his retirement in 1992. Dana was heavily involved in leadership roles of charitable organizations and churches, including the directing boards of Park Street Church in Boston, Grace Chapel in Lexington, the Evangelistic Association of New England and African Inland Mission. Dana is remembered as a loving father and grandfather, and a wonderful storyteller. One of Dana's greatest pleasures was participating in worship with the Grace Chapel Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra. Dana is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Hastings of Westwood, his sister Alyce Hastings Rogers of Medina, Washington, his son, Dana Christian Munroe Hastings and his wife Billie Jeanne of Andover, his daughter, Amy Hastings Olsen and her husband Glen of Midland, Texas, and his stepchildren: David Arnold of Lynbrook, New York, Kenneth and Lynne Arnold of Woburn, and Richard Arnold of Haverhill. His eight grandchildren will also miss him greatly: Hannah Hastings, Kristen, Timothy and Melissa Olsen, Matthew, Bethany and Kerrin Arnold, and Lucas Arnold.
