TIGGES David Francis, 66 of Pembroke died peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the VA Boston Healthcare System in Brockton. He was born March 6, 1948 in Braintree to Frank and Florence Tigges. David grew up in Braintree and graduated Braintree High School in 1966. He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1967 and rose to the rank of Sergeant E-5 during his 7 years of service. He proudly served in Vietnam and courageously earned many service medals and combat action medals during the battle of Khe Sahn. Upon his return from Vietnam, David began working for the US Post Office as a letter carrier in Wellesley Hills. He loved his work at the post office for the last 37 years. He enjoyed traveling, classic cars, 1950’s diners, Disney, and a good meal with his family and friends. David is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 33 years Judy; his beloved daughter Mattie; his admiring son in law Aaron, his adoring granddaughter Kaitlyn, and his two loyal granddogs Fred and Bella. Visitation in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in HANOVER on Wednesday morning from 8:00 A.M. - 9:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Rte 139 in Hanover. Burial with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
