MENCY Early C., of So. Boston formerly of Roxbury passed away unexpectedly November 6, 2016 at the age of 100. He was the husband of the late Mildred L. (Hasty) Mency. Loving father of Malcom Mency of GA, Martin Samuel Jones of Baltimore, MD, Mary Constance Jones of Baltimore, MD, Karen E. Mency-Monteiro of Randolph, and the late Thomas Earl Jones. Devoted brother of Robert Mency and Lenton Mency both of Dorchester, the late Marvin Mency, Ozzie King, Duncan Mency, and Thornton Mency. Also survive by 25 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Dear Uncle Eileen Mency of Dorchester and Frances Mency of Hyde Park and also survived by many other nieces and nephews. Early was born in Dawson, GA and has lived in the Boston area for the past 61 years. He worked at Morgan Linen Service, of Boston for many years and was a retired member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 N. Main St., Randolph, MA 02368. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon immediately followed by a funeral service at 12:00.
