GRANT Edward J. 69 of Rockland died on January 28, 2016 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Ed was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served aboard the USS Ranger during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Whitman VFW, the Hanover American Legion and the Rockland Aerie of Eagles. He retired after serving 25 years as a plumber at the Gillette Co. in Boston. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Ann (McCarthy) Grant, his daughter Samantha and her husband C. Loren McDonald, IV of Holbrook, his cherished granddaughter Angela McDonald and his brother William Grant and his close friend Doris Kaplan of Hull. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3 Goddard Ave. in Rockland at 11:30 AM.
