FLEMING Eleanor M. (Tuinila), October 3, 2013, 96 years 11 months. Beloved wife of the late James R. Fleming. Loving daughter of the late John P. and Anne (Plansky) Tuinila. Cherished mother of Susan, Paula, Janet and David all of South Boston, James and his wife Kristine of Reading and the late Megan Fleming and her husband Neil Morrison of South Boston. Dear sister of the late Raymond P. Tuinila of Bevery and Virgina M. Kropas of South Boston. Also survived by her much loved Goddaughter, Eleanor (Plansky) Harrington and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours at the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON on Thursday, October 10 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter’s Lithuanian Church on Friday at 10:00 A.M. followed by interment at Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain. A life-long resident of South Boston, Eleanor was proud of her family, her community and her Lithuanian heritage. She loved children, books, learning, gardening and travel. She was a past member of the Mattapannock Woman’s Club of South Boston, South Boston Garden Club, the Castle Island Association and a member and Troop Leader of the Girl Scouts. Eleanor supported many diverse charities and educational facilities.
