AYLSWORTH Elizabeth G. (Taranto), age 85, of Framingham, died peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2015 at her home in Framingham. She was the wife of 64 years of John E. Aylsworth of Framingham. Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rita (Johnston) Taranto. Elizabeth was known as “Miss Betty” to many neighborhood children. She made holiday gift baskets for them. At Halloween, children would choose from hundreds of items ranging from candy to crayons and coloring books. She adored all of the neighborhood children, and she was considered an adopted grandmother to many. She collected over 300 teddy bears from around the United States. Each represented a gift from different states and cities. Even the neighborhood children gave her teddy bears to add to her collection. Elizabeth enjoyed watching the cooking shows on TV. When she was younger, she loved to cook and bake, especially for others during the holidays. She was known for organizing and hosting dinner parties for relatives and friends. She loved visiting Walt Disney World in Florida. Elizabeth enjoyed riding the “It’s a Small World” attraction. Seeing the animated characters from around the world was her favorite experience at Walt Disney World and it always made her smile. Elizabeth worked as a Cashier at Star Market for 15 years when she was younger. Later in life, she worked as a Hostess at Applebee’s in Framingham. Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, Randy Aylsworth of Framingham and his girlfriend Jean Dupuis of Holliston, John L. Aylsworth and his wife Inge of Graham, NC; two grandchildren, John Steven Aylsworth of Plattsburgh, NY and Inge Marie Aylsworth of Graham, NC. She has eight great-grandchildren. Elizabeth is also survived by her siblings, William Taranto of Waltham, Anna May Shaw of Winnetka, CA, Phyllis Taranto of Waltham and Fred Taranto of Weston.
