PAYNE Gwendolyn (Divinah) originally of Cambridge passed in Boston on June 9, 2014. Dear mother to Richard (Bullock) Payne and Divah Johnetta Payne. Beloved daughter to Idella G. Payne and the late Leonard A. Payne, Sr. Loving sister to Jacquolyn (Errol, Sr.) Payne Thompson, Leonard A. Payne Jr., Lionel Payne, Lawrence Payne, Laura Sue Payne, Tino Payne and Antionia (Payne) Allen. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends in KY., IN., TN., NJ., MD., NY., CA and DC. Former member of the historical Charles St. A.M.E. Church, community activist, member of NAACP and other organizations in and throughout Boston and New York. Visitation with family will be tonight from 6:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M. at George Lopes Funeral Home 821 Cummins Highway, MATTAPAN. Celebration of Life Service will be the tomorrow, June 17 starting at 11:00 A.M. from Morning Star Baptist Church with a visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. Interment to Oak Lawn Cemetery, Roslindale.
