FIORE Irene "Rena" of Dorchester January 24, 2014 at the age of 89 after a long battle with cancer. Born in the North End, she moved to Roxbury where she lived for over 50 years before moving to South Boston and Dorchester. Dedicated employee of the Raytheon Corporation for 44 years. Daughter of the late Charles and Adelina (Ragno) Fiore. Sister of the late Emanuela "Minnie" Regan. Gaetano, Umberto, Charles, George Fiore and Elena Gillis. Survived by her loving niece and caretaker Barbara Gillis of Dorchester as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at The Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON Thursday morning from 9:00 A.M. -10:30 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Gate of Heaven Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Rena traveled extensively throughout her life, going to Italy 47 times. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the North End.
