McINTYRE James P. of Peabody formerly of Malden, September 4, 2015, after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma, at age 81. Beloved husband to Monica (Flatley) McIntyre. Son of the late Peter and Ann (Halloran) McIntyre. Devoted father to Mary and Christopher Giuliana of Reading, Peter McIntyre and Lazaro Wossaert of Miami, FL., James Jr. and Michelle McIntyre of Knoxville, TN., Ann and William Herzog of Wakefield, Kara and Edward Hardiman of Danvers and David and Judy McIntyre of Franklin. Loving brother to Marie and Niles Schlegel and the late Ann and Michael Leahy and Barbara and John Sullivan. Adored “Papa” to Michael, Sarah, James Eddie, Caroline, Kate, Ryan, Matt, Yana, Julia, Patrick, McKayla, Owen, Monica, William and Timothy. Uncle to 70 nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 9 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Ignatius Church, 28 Commonwealth Avenue, Chestnut Hill. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, September 8 from 4:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M. in St. Ignatius Church. Interment Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline. Jim was Senior Vice President of Boston College. Graduate of Malden Catholic High School and Boston College, including Bachelor’s, Master’s Doctoral and Honorary degrees. Veteran of the United States Army.
