CLANCY James W. Clancy (Jim) Age 74, of Somerville, formerly of Cambridge, February 22, 2014. Died peacefully at the V. A. Hospital - Bedford with his loving family by his side. Beloved son of the late Wilhelmina Teves and George E. Clancy. Beloved father of Colleen Pimentel and husband Rob of Lynnfield. Cherished grandfather of Antonio and Benjamin. Dear brother of Rita Jones and husband Laurie of Concord, Meriel Duffy and husband James of W. Dennis & Naples, FL and his late twin brother George E. Clancy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. James worked for the MWRA from 1968 until retirement in 2001. He was a member of the American Legion Post 19 (Somerville). In the late 50's Jimmy was a member of the Five Shillings Doo-Wopp group and recorded for Decca records. Late U.S Army Veteran, Vietnam Era. Funeral from the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Road BELMONT on Friday, February 28 at 9:00 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St Peters Church 100 Concord Avenue, Cambridge at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Interment Cambridge Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Voluntary Services/ Hospice Program, 200 Springs Road, Bedford, MA 01730.
