GRUBER Jane Anne (Hibbert), 61, of Acton formerly of Wayland, died peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence following a courageous and dignified battle with Multiple Myeloma on August 30, 2013. Daughter of the late Tom Hibbert and Evelyn Hilda (Thistle) Hibbert. Loving mother of Jessica M. Gruber-Ramos of Bronx, NY and Allison H. Gruber Moscicki of Belchertown, MA. Grandmother of Jeremy Gruber-Ramos of Bronx, NY. Also survived by her longtime partner Kevin Pendergast of Acton and her brother Alan Hibbert of Yarmouth. Jane has been the Director of Rehabilitation Services at Newton-Wellesley Hospital for 37 years and held a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. She was a member of the Excel Synchronized Skating Team and the U.S. Figure Skating Association. Jane was very much loved and touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 11:00AM at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 435 Central Street, Acton, MA. In lieu of flowers her family suggests that memorial gifts in Jane’s memory be sent to The Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston MA 02215 would be greatly appreciated by her family.
