ALLSUP Jocelyn Feuerstein Allsup passed away suddenly on September 11, 2013. Born in Franklin NH, Jocie (as she was affectionately called) was one of three children of her beloved mother and father, Pauline and Martin Feuerstein. She was a graduate of Northeastern University Bouv College of Health and Sciences in Boston, MA 1977. Jocie met the love of her life, Michael Allsup from Wakefield MA in 1974, quite accidentally as his lab partner in plant biology class. They were married on May 30, 1980 after a six year courtship. Jocie and Mike made their home in various places but mainly in Winston-Salem NC, Miami and Winter Park, FL where they raised their family. She balanced her roles of loving mother and wife with work (yoga instructor and health educator) to help support her family. Jocelyn was the loving mother of two beautiful children Jillian and Nathan. Jillian’s tragic death at 19 years in 2003 left broken hearts and wounds difficult to heal. Jocie was a beautiful kindhearted loving person with an enormous heart. Everyone that ever met her loved her. With the gift of gab and a remarkable memory it is no wonder she made friends so easily. Her thoughtfulness and generosity were boundless. She leaves behind her husband and life companion of 39 years, Michael and her son Nathan 25. In addition she is survived by her mother Pauline, sister Starrette and husband Jack, brother Abra and wife Sue-Ellen along with their beautiful children. She will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed. Jocelyn also leaves behind her second family at the Crosby YMCA in Winter Park, FL where she worked tirelessly helping people lead healthier lives. A celebration of her life will be held on October 12 at 2:00 P.M. at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 7520 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32792 (407) 677-5091. A second service for local community and friends in New Hampshire will be held on Oct 27 at 2:00 P.M. at Smart Funeral Home, 584 W Main Street, Tilton, NH 03276 (603) 286-3132. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Crosby YMCA Wellness Center Healthiest Weight Program Scholarship Fund Attention: John V. Cardone, Vice President, 2005 Mizell Avenue Winter Park, FL 32792.
