MILISCI Joseph Francis, 88, of Chelmsford died Friday October 28, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was married to the late Mary (Rocha) Milisci, who died December 24, 1994. Born in Boston, he was the son and last survivor of the nine children of the late Joseph and Raffaela (Marino) Milisci. He attended Boston Public Schools before joining the US Navy at the age of 15. He proudly served with the U.S. Navy during WWII and later in the war he served with the US Army Air Corps. Joseph retired from Thom McCan Shoes in 1991. In his retirement he drove Special Education School Buses. He was a lifelong member of VFW Post 662 of Lowell. Former member of Chelmsford Elks and Knights of Columbus. He was an avid sports fan especially, The Boston Braves. He liked country music and going on cruises. He is survived by his sons, Joseph Milisci Jr. of Lowell, MA, Anthony “Tony” Milisci of Merrimack, NH and Michael Milisci and his fianc Jennifer Bangs of Chelmsford; Daughters, Maryann and her husband George Hall of Hudson, NH, JoAnn Deverix, and Jeanette Milisci of Tyngsboro, Ten grandchildren, Fourteen great-grandchildren, Two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours Tuesday. 3:00 P.M. 7:00 P.M. Funeral Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. at the Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex Street, CHELMSFORD. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
