MACARO Louis J. Macaro, 86, beloved husband of the late Joan M. (Bowden) Macaro, died Friday, February 22, 2013 at Beverly Hospital. Born in Beverly, he is the son of the late Verdenio and Florence (Giusti) Macaro. Louis grew up in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School. He was a United States Navy Veteran, having served during WWII in the Pacific Arena as a member of the Seabees and aboard the USS Princeton during the Korean War. Louis was a member of the National VFW and American Legion and the Italian American War Veterans at the Vittori Rocci Post in Beverly. For 42 years, he was employed as a machinist for the United Shoe Machinery Corporation in Beverly. After retirement, Louis worked at the Myopia Hunt Club. Louis was a connoisseur of food, and lover of history and travel. He was also an avid gardener and devoted fan of the Patriots and Red Sox. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. He is survived by one son: Peter Macaro of Ipswich; two daughters: Cindy Albiero and her husband Lou of Beverly and Paula Musticchio and her husband Michael of Beverly; one brother: Thomas Macaro of Fort Myers, FL; one sister Marlene Roberts and her husband Walter of Danvers; two grandchildren: Jennifer Kerr of Beverly and Michael Musticchio of Beverly; three great grandchildren: Oliver Michael Kerr, Sawyer Ryan Kerr and Bowden Louis Kerr; along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Marianne Shea. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, BEVERLY on Tuesday from 4 :00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.
