DOONAN Mrs. M. Virginia (Agnew), of Lynn, 87, died Friday at Salem Hospital. She was the beloved wife for 47 years of the late George P. Doonan, Sr., long-time Latin and History Teacher and Chairman of the Foreign Language Department at Lynn Classical High School. Survived by sons, George Doonan, Jr. and his wife Mary (Savage) of Peabody, John Doonan of Taunton and Joseph Doonan and his partner Jane Humphrey of Framingham, daughters, Cathleen Landry and her husband Thomas of Peabody and Virginia “Ginger” Nollet and her husband James of Saugus. Also survived by grandchildren, Catherine and Michael Landry and Patrick, Christine and Gregory Doonan. Sister of Leonard J. Agnew, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of West Hartford, CT, Carol J. Smith of Intervale, NH. Sister-in-law of Genevieve (Doonan) Tyrell and her husband Richard of Winthrop. Several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Virginia was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Frank Bartholomew.
