HANLEY Madeline F. (Walsh) of Jamaica Plain. Aged 93. Entered peacefully into heaven on May 13, 2016. Born August 24, 1922 in Dorchester, Mass to William and Delia (Hayes) Walsh. She was the 5th of 7 children. Madeline married Thomas Hanley, her husban for 40 years June 27, 1948. She was a loyal employee of Waynes Department Store in Jamaica Plain for many years, also member and Past President of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. She resided at the Farnsworth House where she worked as the front door receptionist. She leaves many beloved friends at Farnsworth. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom and granddaughter Jennifer Popa. She is survived by her daughter Marianne and her husband Paul Zantt of Baltimore, Maryland and a son Joseph of Pittsburgh, PA and her grandchildren Jared Popa and Harmony Zantt. Also survived by her nieces and nephews as well as her special friends Amy Cooper, Joanna Shedd and her daughter Melissa whom she loved dearly. Funeral from the Mann & Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins Street (corner of So. Huntington Ave.), JAMAICA PLAIN Tuesday at 9:15 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 10 O’clock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday morning 8:30 A.M. 9:15 A.M.
