In Loving Memory Of
MARTIN FRANCIS KILLILEA
Died in Vietnam May 16, 1966
Age 19 Years 3months 1 day

Franny remains as much as an inspiration today as he did during his short but well-lived life. Every day he fulfills his dream of being a teacher by leaving his family and friends with his legacy: Love for his country and unwavering faith, courage and conviction. His family, friends and teammates warmly recall his genuine kindness, beautiful smile, quick wit and love for the Boston Red Sox

Franny is lovingly remembered today with the words written in 1966:

Farewell dear family
I had to go,
To die for my country
That I loved so.
Weep not for me nor
Sorrow take
But love each other
For my sake.

Lovingly remembered by your family & friends
