BARRON Mary (Walsh), 91, entered Heaven on August 26, 2016. Loving wife of the late Richard Barron. She is survived by her children Richard Barron and Carol Lanoue, her grandchildren Jonathan, Allyson and Emily Barron, Robert and James Lanoue, her great grandchildren as well as her many nieces, nephews including Maryann Noonan, Shaun Noonan, Michael Noonan, Cailyn Noonan, Michael D. Noonan and Patricia Walsh. She is predeceased by her parents Patrick and Mary (Manning) Walsh and her siblings Nora Walsh Kitchen, John and Coleman Walsh. Visiting hours will be held in the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON, Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. 6:00 P.M. Mary, a lifelong resident of South Boston, was a 25, 50 and 75 year Medalist of the Joslin Clinic having lived with Diabetes since the age of 17 and was a patient of Dr. Joslin prior to his clinic opening. Mary was proud of the fact that she managed her diabetes during a time when understanding and controlling the disease was in its infancy. She spent time with her niece and grandniece Susan and Maggie Gallagher discussing the newest technology to manage their diabetes.
