KING Matthew J. (Matty) age 27 of South Boston passed away suddenly and unexpected on February 18, 2015. Matty was a lifelong Southie resident and was a very proud member of the Boston EMS (Badge # 1025 working on ambulance 6 nights in South Boston) where he saved several lives and positively impacted hundreds of people under his care. Matty was a diehard Boston sports fan who enjoyed watching games with his Father, Family and Friends. Matty had an electrifying personality and could light up a room the second he walked in. Matty is survived by his girlfriend, his soulmate and his best friend Leanne Armstrong of Waltham, Ma. He is also survived by his loving and caring parents Robert and Joanne King of South Boston and his loving and loyal siblings Kelly Fichtner of Braintree, Katherine (Jeanie) and Jamie Orsino of Stoneham, Robin Foley of Holbrook, Robert and Robin “In-law” King of So. Weymouth, James King of South Boston and Kasey King of Belmont. He is the Grandson of the late Joe and Kate King Formerly of South Boston also Mac and Eileen McQueen. Matty is the loving Uncle to Krystie, McKinley and Riley Fichtner of Braintree. Alex, Michaela and Dominic Orsino of Stoneham. Stephen and Courtney Foley of Holbrook. Kason, Katherine and Kaeden King of So. Weymouth. Colby, Tallan, Brody and Brynley King of Bradford Ma. and his Godson Cullan (Cully) Sarmiento of Belmont. Matty is the nephew to the late Sissy Greene, the late Katherine King, the late Joseph King, the late Ronald King and the late Mimi McQueen. He is survived by his Aunts and Uncles Mal and Mike Mcdonough, Gayle and Roland Spencer, Maureen Beede, Steven McQueen, Wayne and Sue McQueen, Kevin and Mary McQueen and Brian and Sharon McQueen. Matty has too many close cousins, best friends and very close extended family to name individually but you all know who you are because he treated you like a brother or a sister. In lieu of flowers we are asking all family and friends to donate to the Matthew King EMS Scholarship Visiting Hours at The Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON Monday from 4:00-8:00 P.M.
