SARRO Paul, “Santa Claus”, 67, a long-time resident of South Boston. Passed away on March 4, 2015. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Carmine Sarro and Dorothy (Trottier). Mr. Sarro was employed by Amtrack for more than 30 years and was well known to the residents of South Boston as the South Boston Santa Claus and Paul the Poet. Father of Marie Antoinette Sarro of Massachusetts and Jessica Hinckley of New Hampshire. Dear brother to Maryann Sarro of Randolph and proud and cherished grandfather to Harmony, Sean and Caleb Hinckley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to thank the residents of South Boston for being a 2nd family to this unique and kind man. His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited, will be held Saturday, March 14th Quincy, MA. Visiting hours will be held Friday, March 13th at the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams Street, QUINCY, MA. Interment will be private. at 10:00am at St. John’s Church, 44 School Street, from 4:00-8:00pm Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St., QUINCY, MA. Interment will be private.
