PARISE Peter Schofield, Cambridge, MA died suddenly on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in Los Angeles California. He was born in Boston, MA on February 26, 1987. He was a beloved son of Sandra (Schofield) Parise and Peter J. Parise III and sibling of Cassandra and Christopher. Peter was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, and attended Florida Institute of Technology with dreams of becoming a pilot. Peter was a lifelong hockey player, which was his true passion. As a kid, Peter could be found rollerblading across the city of Cambridge in search of a street hockey game, or waiting for the ice to freeze on his backyard hockey rink that he made with his friend and brother. Peter drew people to him with his contagious smile, soulful, dark eyes, witty mind and infectious giggle. Peter had a beautiful spirit and a deep searching soul. He loved music and felt lyrics intensely. He was the gregarious older brother of Cassandra and Christopher who remember the power of his laughter which helped to create a deep sibling bond that carried them through tough times. Sadly, Peter fought the disease of addiction for many years. During these years, he was known for going out of his way to help other people fighting the same battle. He made friends instantly, and created life long bonds with them. When he met people struggling, he would go out of his way to inspire them, and encourage them to continue on their path to sobriety. Peter loved deeply and unconditionally and that love was returned to him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Peter was the cherished grandson of Peter J Parise Jr. and the late Henrietta Ciccarelli, Richard Schofield, and Kathleen (Mclaughlin) Schofield. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends throughout the country. Funeral from the Donovan-Aufiero Funeral Home, 140 Otis Street, Cambridge Thursday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, 49 Sixth Street, Cambridge at 10:00 A.M.
