PASLEY PhiIip (Phil), Sr. of Verbena, AL, formerly of Hyde Park, MA, 88, on August 15, 2012, surrounded by loving family. Devoted Husband of Annie Belle (Ziegler) Pasley. Beloved Son of the late Isaac and Lucille Pasley. Devoted Father of seven children, Carl, Philip Jr., Phyllis, Annie, Betty and Sharon and their Spouses and the late Gladys Gomez, 2 sisters Alma Brown and Mahaley Brown; he is also survived by his son in law, Mal Gomez, his sister-in-law Ethel (Minnie) Pasley and thirteen grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Phil was a head chef at Jack & Marion’s Deli in Brookline and at Bob the Chef’s Soul Food Restaurant in the South End until his retirement in 1989. Phil will be remembered for his Southern hospitality and the great food he prepared for his family and his extended family, his fondness for story-telling, his love for baseball and the Boston Red Sox.
