RONE Raymond D. “Ray”, of Quincy, formerly of Holbrook, passed away after a brief illness, on January 24, 2016 surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 84. Born in Portageville, MO and had lived in Holbrook for many years before moving to Quincy. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. For many years, he worked as an accountant in the financial field. During his free time Ray was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to his yard and reading, especially mystery novels. He was a member of the Randolph ELKS Lodge #2130. Ray is survived by his beloved wife Johanne (Piscopo) Rone. Loving father of Michael Rone of FL, Keith Rone of NH and Michele Aucoin of Braintree. Step-father of Stacey Crawford of Maryland and Jessica Crawford of Washington, DC. Dear grandfather of Cheryl, Eric, Jamie and Christine and great grandfather of David, John, Sienna and Logan. Devoted brother of Wayne Rone of Jackson, MI and the late Herbert Roan. Sister-in-law of Patty Bates of Brockton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St., HOLBROOK. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the VNA Hospice Care, 100 Trade Center, Woburn, MA 01801. Ray will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
