BURT Raymond L. of Quincy, died May 23, 2014 surrounded by his family. Ray grew up in Burnham, Maine, son of the late Earl and Delia (Lester) Burt. He was a diehard Yankees and Giants fan and an avid bowler. He worked for the City of Quincy for 26 years before retiring in 1996. He loved to travel and enjoyed traveling to Ireland with his wife and to visit family in Maine. He was a quiet, honest and hardworking man who will be missed by many. Devoted husband of 47 years to Joan (Tarpey) Burt of Quincy. Loving brother to Dorothy Vaughn and Lloyd Burt of Burnham, Maine, and the late Alfretta Kelleher and Regina Burt. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:00 A.M. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
