HANLEY Richard J., 74, of Holliston, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, January 25, 2016. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Marion (Clancy) and Joseph P. Hanley. He was the husband of 53 years to Barbara (Barron) Hanley of Holliston. Richard was a 55 year member of the Local 550 Sprinkler Fitters Union Boston and was the owner of Patriot Fire Protection Inc. for 15 years; a company in which he ran with his family. He was a past Eagle Scout and enjoyed traveling to Disney World each year with his family and time spent in Cape Cod. He was a collector of comic book memorabilia. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren. Besides his wife, Richard is survived by his children, Michael Hanley of Hopedale, Robert Hanley and his wife Cathy of Franklin, Brian Hanley of Holliston, Sheila Lyons and her husband Robert of Holliston and his brother, Paul Hanley of Bellingham. He also leaves behind his nine grandchildren, Gina, Shawn, Erin, Mary Cate, Alec, and Mia Hanley, and Amanda, Kevin, and Megan Lyons. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, from 5:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington Street, www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston on Saturday, January 30, at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford.
