RICHARDS Robert J., Jr. of Weston and former resident of Saint Simons Island, GA, 85, November 25, 2015, a retired lawyer and Senior Partner at the Boston law firm of Hale & Dorr died unexpectedly last Wednesday at home with his beloved son Grady at his side. He is survived by his children, Justine Richards of Weston, Amanda Richards of West Hollywood, CA and Robert Grady Richards of Weston; a sister, Ann P. Shelley and her husband John J. of Brewster, three nephews and two nieces. He is pre-deceased by his wife Marion M. (Grady) Richards; his parents, Robert J. Richards, Jr. and Mary (Gaffey) Richards and his sisters Mary (Richards) Ward and Katherine (Richards) Daczkowski. Graduate of Boston College ‘52, J.D. Boston College Law School ‘55 and Master of Law in Taxation, New York University Graduate School of Law ’56. Attorney and Senior partner of Hale & Dorr for 40 years. Former personal attorney for Arnold J. “Red” Auerbach. Served as a consultant, fiduciary and Trustee for many private trusts and foundations, including The Criminal Justice Policy Foundation. Mr. Richards’ Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Cecilia’s Church, 18 Belvidere Street, Boston, (Back Bay), Wednesday, December 9, at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Linwood Cemetery, Weston. Visiting hours in St. Cecilia’s Church, 18 Belvidere St., Boston, (Back Bay), Tuesday, December 8, from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Wednesday, December 9, from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. prior to the Mass.
