HOGAN Robert (Bob) James, Stockbridge, GA, 81, died June 9, 2015 at Dogwood Forest at Eagle’s Landing Assisted Living after a long battle with Parkinson’s and Skin Cancer. He leaves his wife of 30 years, Jaunita (Romine) Hogan; his son Michael Hogan of Des Moines, Iowa and his stepson Harold Johnson of McDonough. He also leaves many other friends and family members who loved him dearly. Born in Newton, Massachusetts to William and Hazel Hogan, he was raised with his three brothers and two sisters in the Boston area. He moved to Atlanta over 40 years ago but never forgot his Boston roots or relinquished his loyalty to his Boston sports teams. Bob was a devout Irish Catholic and practiced his faith with a passion. He was charitable with his time and money and actively supported his church and several organizations that helped the less fortunate. He sang show tunes, old advertising jingles and country songs as he went through his day as long as they put a smile on someone’s face. He told old-fashioned “clean” jokes to everyone he met in hope of bringing a little happiness to their day. He was renowned for his knowledge of trivia and was rarely on the losing team. “His passing will be felt my many: for he touched everyone he met.” Funeral Services will be held at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors in McDonough, GA at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 13, 2015.
