NEEDHAM Shirley Sullivan, (Benham) of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, 88 yrs old died peacefully April 14th with her beautiful children by her side. Shirley was the wife of the late Thomas E. Needham and the late John E. Sullivan. Most Cherished mother of Carol Nourse of Pembroke, Mary Sheridan of Duxbury, Deborah Ridge of Quincy and Joyce LeLievre of Weymouth, Marie Carvalho of Pembroke. Loving sister of Marilyn Vadaro of Quincy and the late Robert Benham, Claire Smith, Bertha Gillespie and Anna Metrokin. Shirley is also blessed to have treasured 8 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren. Cousin of Harold (Sonny) Plouffe. Shirley was full of life and love and her family was her legend. She was an avid sports fan who loved the Red Sox, Patriots, and the Bruins. Shirley also enjoyed Foxwoods and Bingo. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley on Tuesday April 22nd at Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Internment following at Pembroke Center Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Monday April 21st from 4-8 pm at the Lydon Chapel for Funerals 644 Hancock St. QUINCY. Internment Pembroke Center Cemetery, Pembroke. Donations may be made in Shirley's name to the Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Dr., Rockland, MA 02370.
