CONLEY Stephen M., 54, of Braintree, formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2014 surrounded by his family. Stephen was the loving husband of Barbi (Meaney) Conley and proud father of Stephen M. Conley, Jr. Devoted brother of Danny Conley, his wife Noreen of Quincy, Nicole Medico and her Husband Michael of Pembroke. Beloved son of the recently deceased Dorothy (Cassidy) Conley of Quincy, formerly of South Boston and Son-in-Law of James Meaney of South Boston. Cherished Brother-In-Law of Kathleen (Meaney) Benninger, her husband Dr. Michael Benninger of Solon, Ohio, Elaine (Meaney) Grassa, her husband Kevin of Milton, John, Michael & Linda Meaney all of South Boston. Dear nephew of James Cassidy and his wife Maureen of Weymouth. Cherished uncle of Jill, Shana, Michael, Brianna, Jamie, Jennifer, Allison, Ryan, & Kaylin. Great Uncle of Alana, Kerin, Sean, Benjamin, Lilliana, Jailie, and McKayla. Visiting hours in the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON, on Sunday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral Mass on Monday in St. Brigid Church, 841 East Broadway, South Boston at 10:00 A.M. Interment Old North Cemetery, Weymouth. Relatives and friends are invited to attend all services. Lovingly known to his friends as “Spider”, he was proud to say he worked for the International Association of Iron Workers Local 7 in South Boston for over 30 Years. He was known as one of the hardest & most dedicated workers for Local 7 as well as in New York where he helped rebuild the Freedom Tower.How ironic that Steve passed away on 9/11. We will never forget him, he will be missed by everyone. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Stephen's memory to the Stephen M.
