KOPACZYNSKA Victoria T., 100, of Beverly passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Beverly. Born and raised in Chelsea, she was the daughter of Polish immigrant parents, Anthony and Eleonora (Pietrowski) Kopaczynska. She received her education in both the public and parochial schools in Chelsea. She continued her education at Posse School of Physical Education and Boston University where she earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education. Ms. Kopaczynska was employed for thirty eight years as a physical education instructor for the City of Salem until the time of her retirement in 1978 and had spent twenty five of those years at Salem High School as the girl’s physical instructor and girl’s athletic coach. She had also spent ten summers as a camp counselor at Camp Paulipoint in Ossipee, NH. Prior to that, Ms. Kopaczynska had worked as a playground instructor in the City of Chelsea during the summers while attending college. She was a lifetime member of the Wenham Country Club and a member of the Women’s Bowling Club. Surviving her are many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and great nieces and great nephews, including F. Germain, OFM of CT. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, St. Peter Street, Salem, Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, BEVERLY, Thursday morning prior to the Mass from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
