STAMATOPOULOS Virginia (Calvano) of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, passed away on Saturday March 30, 2013. Beloved wife of the late John Stamatopoulos. Devoted mother of Robert Stewart and his wife Grace of Lynn, Jean Anne Bruno of Weymouth, John Stamatopoulos and his wife Rita of North Attleboro, Vincent Stamatopoulos and his wife Deanna of Saugus, and Paul Stamatopoulos and his wife Diana of Saugus. Dear sister of the late Ann Buccheri, Josephine DeSimone, Helen Amos and Mary Belrose. Cherished grandmother of ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass in Celebration of Virginia’s life will be held on Wednesday April 3 in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks Street in East Boston at 11:00 A.M. Visiting hours prior to the Mass will be held in the Serenity Chapel of the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, Orient Heights in EAST BOSTON commencing at 9:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The Memorial Home is handicapped accessible and a children’s lounge is available. Courtesy valet parking at the front entrance and ample attendant off three parking lots. For transportation to the memorial home please call 617-569-0990. Services will conclude with Virginia being laid to rest in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake Street in Peabody.
