SESTITO Longtime Las Vegas resident, William Domenico Sestito passed away on October 13, 2016 at the age of 85. Bill became ill while on a cruise and was evacuated and returned to Las Vegas where he passed away. He left us while doing what he liked the best. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Domenico Sestito, his mother, Margaret McCarthy, his stepfather, Edward McCarthy and his brother, Richard Sestito He is survived by his sister-in law, Jackolyn Sestito, of Kingston, Ma. & Delray, Fla. His niece, Nichole Sestito of Marshfield, Ma. His aunt Cecelia Ritchie of Delray, Fla. His longtime friend and travel companion, Ronald Johnson of Las Vegas. His “sister” Pat Whit and her husband George of New Hampshire and many cousins in the Boston area William was born and educated in Boston. He served in the United States Navy as a young man and worked his way through college via the GI Bill and worked as a chef. He came to Las Vegas in 1963. He was a retired teacher of Variety School in Las Vegas and an elementary school teacher in Hinkley, Ca. William was known for his love of family and friends, his extensive world travels, cooking, entertaining and his great disposition. He will be missed by many William will by buried at Bourne National Cemetary in Bourne, Ma. The Service will be held at the cemetery on November 28, 2016 at 11:30am. Family and friends are welcome.
