SCANTLEBURY William J., of East Boston, on March 9. Loving son of the late William and Margaret (Donovan) Scantlebury. Devoted brother of Robert W. Scantlebury of East Boston. Also survived by his cherished cousins, and friends. Family will honor William's life by gathering on Sunday March 15th from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga Street (Orient Heights) EAST BOSTON and again at 8:30 a.m. Monday morning before leaving in procession to St. John the Evangelist Church Winthrop Street, Winthrop for a funeral mass in celebration of William's life at 10:00 a.m. William was the Baker and Proprietor of Betty Ann Food Shop on Bennington Street, East Boston, cooking those famous HOT donuts, pastries and other fabulous items for over 40 years, continuing what his Father and family had statred over 75 years ago. In accordance with William's wishes internment services are private.
