O’CONNOR William T., 82, of Dorchester, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 30, 2016 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan (Sheehan) O’Connor, his high school sweetheart, with whom he shared nearly 60 years of marriage. He was a proud US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Devoted father of Robert O’Connor & his wife Karen of Lowell, Karen Mello of Easton, Janice Harty of Dorchester, Lauren Savage & her husband John of Scituate, Denise Choukas & her husband William of Dorchester and James O’Connor of Quincy. Father in law of the late William Harty. Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren. The youngest of 15 children, William is also survived by his brother Arthur O’Connor of TX and his sister Gertrude Murphy of MA. Funeral services will be held privately and he will be laid to rest beside his late wife at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions in his memory be made to Pat Roche Hospice Home, 86 Turkey Hill Lane, Hingham, MA 02043 in appreciation of the outstanding care they provided to William and his family in his last days.
