McMANUS John E. McManus, 80, beloved husband of Nancy (Tupper) McManus, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage, passed away Friday, August 8th at Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport. Born in Beverly, he is the son of the late Harold J. and A. Gertrude (Manning) McManus. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Kimberly Senko and her husband Matthew of Georgetown; and his two grandchildren: Alexander John Senko and Isabella Victoria Senko. John grew up in Beverly and was a graduate of Saint John’s Prep and Boston College. John proudly served his country and is a veteran of the United States Army. For over 30 years, John was a teacher in the Beverly School system. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, hunting, boating, motorcycle riding, and shooting trap and skeet. John was a member of VFW, the Georgetown, Danvers and Andover Fish and Game Clubs. John was proud to have started the Rangeley Skeet and Trap Club. He was also Registered Maine Guide and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of Maine and its history. A Memorial Service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street in BEVERLY on Sunday at 2:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
