Lillian Todd, beloved wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, was born Sept. 24, 1926 in Bozeman to Verda and Frank Shriver. She grew up in a large family and her nickname was ""Little Sister.""
In high school, she found the love of her life, Bill Todd, and sent him a note asking him if he wanted a kiss. He wrote back and said ""yes,"" so the next day she brought him a candy kiss and gave it to him. They were married Aug. 27, 1949 at Grand Avenue Christian Church and had enjoyed 63 years of wonderful life together. Bill's nicknames for her were ""wifey"" and ""lover.""
Her life was centered around her family. She helped Bill raise two children, Julie and Howard, and enjoyed sharing in the lives of her grandchildren, Barbie, Gary, James, Dustee and Brandee. She was also very excited when she became a great-grandma. She loved being here to enjoy her great-grandchildren, Doug, Alex, Madison, Christopher, Kace, Malia, and Aedin. She loved to play games and always had chocolate (as that was one of her favorites) for the kids as a treat. She had wise wisdom for all of us and always a hug and unconditional love. Family times with brothers and sisters on both sides were a big part of her life, too. She had heart problems all of her life but that didn't stop her from pushing herself to enjoy every bit of life that God had for her. Her strength, courage and faith will be a part of everyone who knew her.
Lillian loved her Lord and her church family. She served as a Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir, served as a deaconess and held offices in Christian Women's Fellowship. She was also a part of the Pythian Sisters, UCT, and Blind Association. She loved bowling, playing games, music, camping, traveling, and some golf.
Lillian is survived by her husband, Bill of Bozeman; daughter, Julie (Bill) Moore of Mesquite, Nev.; son, Howard (Doris) of Bozeman; grandchildren, Barbie (Chad) Eriksson of Bozeman, Gary Moore of Mesquite, James Todd of Bozeman, Dustee (Justin) Sabol of Bozeman, and Brandee (Matt) DesLauriers of Bozeman; seven great-grandchildren, Douglas Henninger, Alex and Aedin Todd, Madison and Christopher DesLauriers, and Kace and Malia Eriksson, all of Bozeman; sister, Betty McCarty of Iowa; and brothers, Ray (Ilah) Shriver of Bozeman and Dean Shriver of Tucson, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Alverda Shriver; sisters, Arleen Danielson and Vera Marie Durham; and brother, Vern Shriver.
