Mavis "Pete" Jarrett (Murray), 78, peacefully passed away in her home with both of her children by her side on Wednesday November 14, 2012.

She was born on November 18, 1933 to Harry and Maude Murray of Big Timber Mont. She grew up on the family sheep ranch in Sweet Grass County and was active throughout her childhood and early adult years in local 4-H.

While working in Yellowstone Park in the early '50s, she met Paul 'Bud' Jarrett of Clyde Park Mont. and they were married in Big Timber during 1955. She enjoyed spending time with family members as well as her friends at the Pony Senior Center.

"Pete" was known by family, friends and the stranger who occasioned across her path as a kind and gentle woman who was always at the ready with a word of encouragement and a helping hand for all who were in need.
