Phyllis Jensen Craft peacefully left us on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at her home in Bozeman.
Phyllis was born Aug. 13, 1915 in Oregon, Wis. to Nellie Thorina and Hans Jorgen Jensen. Her early years were spent in Madison, Wis., Dickenson, N.D. and Sleepy Eye, Minn.
Phyllis graduated from the University of Minnesota
School of Nursing in Minneapolis, Minn. She was married to Dr. Charles B. Craft in 1938. They moved to Bozeman in 1941. Dr. Craft preceded her in death Nov. 26, 1979.
Mrs. Craft was a loyal and active member of First Lutheran Church as well as the Republican Club, The Museum of the Rockies, and The Gallatin Historical Society.
Phyllis, the cherished mother of Carl D. Craft of Bozeman and Carol Craft Watts (Dr. David) of Charleston, S.C., is also survived by her eight loving granddaughters: Catherine Watts, Carolyn Craft, Karen Craft Campbell (William), Elizabeth Watts Josefsberg (David), Susan Craft, Mary Watts, Leslie Craft (Timothy Hunt), and Emily Craft. Four nephews remain, as well as her two great-grandsons, Cooper Jackson Josefsberg and Benjamin Watts Josefsberg.
The family wishes to express our profound gratitude and respect to Pastor Grayl, Dr. Pamela Hiebert, the nurses and staff of Hospice of Southwest Montana and to the caregivers of Cottonwood Case Management for their professional, compassionate, and loving care.
A private family service will be held.
