Carl R. Bolander, beloved husband, father, grandfather, went to be with his Lord and Saviour while at home in Bozeman, on May 16, 2013 – five days before his 91st birthday. Born May 21, 1922, in Boulder, Colo., he was the son of a pastor.

He married Eleanore Anderson while serving in the Army Air Corp during World War II. After the war he opened up his own real estate agency in Denver, Colo., then expanded it into his own insurance agency. He moved his family to Des Moines, Iowa, and worked for Preferred Risk Insurance, retiring as vice president in 1986.
He volunteered for numerous organizations including being the treasurer for Denver Area "Youth for Christ," and Covenant Heights Bible Camp. He was known as a giver and shared his time, resources, his smile, and himself readily with others.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanore Bolander; two daughters, Joan (Ralph) Cale and Lanie Bolander; grandchildren, Eric Cale and Rachel (Trygve) Dahle; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
