Dave A. Douma passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 27, 2014. He was born in Bozeman on June 21, 1932 to Dave and Emily (Button) Douma. He attended school in Bozeman, and then served two years in the Army during the Korean War. He went to dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. Upon graduating, he returned to Bozeman and practiced dentistry for 34 years until a stroke forced him into retirement.

In 1964, he married Alice Dykstra and the couple had three children. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dave is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter, Nancy; sons, Wilbur (Michelle) and Mark; two granddaughters, Chantel and Anna Robinson; sister, Erlice (David) Dykstra; brothers, Pete (Eva) and Willie; and various cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in the Zoot Enterprises multi-purpose room.
