Eula Cora Thompson Wing, 105 years of age, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Madison Valley Manor in Ennis where she resided the last six years.

Eula was born Eula Cora Thompson on Nov. 23, 1907 in Deer Park, Wash., the oldest of eight children. Her parents, Lester H. and Bessie Mason Thompson, moved to the Gallatin Valley in 1910.
She graduated from Gallatin County High School and attended Montana State College in 1926. In 1927 she was accepted at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. where she became a registered nurse, a profession she continued throughout her life.
Through her life Eula was a member of many organizations and was especially proud of being a life member of the Lily of the Valley Eastern Star.
Leonard A. Wing and Eula were married on Feb. 23, 1932; to this union two sons were born, Richard and David.
Survived by son, David (Jerry) of McAllister; granddaughter, Fay Rolfe of Cardwell; grandson, Wade Wing of Booneville, Mo.; youngest brother, Robert Thompson of Caldwell, Idaho; three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Leonard; son, Richard; sister, Hazel Thompson; and brothers, Mason, Herbert, Howard, Alvin and Donald Thompson.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
