I knew General Brown and his wife Sandy when I was stationed at Kadena Airbase in Okinawa. It was a highlight of my life to be invited to their house along with my wife for a lovely dinner and a wonderful evening with them. Sandy entrusted me with the medical care of her little dogs and I am forever thankful to her and the general.

Dearest Dad,
You are greatly missed.
It is truly saddening that you were taken from us before your time and that we lost the chance for healing at home.
As with all solemn journeys taken alone, it is with great assurance to know that you are now in a much better place and in much better hands.
One day we will all be together again.
Take care Dad and God speed.
With great love,

I have been praying for you and Jim ever since I first heard of his ordeal. Having walked there myself, I fully understand all that you are going through at this time. Many, many emotions and it is hard, I know. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.
I love you very much and God has brought us back together for a reason, Know this; I will keep on praying for you, dear one.
